Jim Thompson House

Tuesday, June 25th, 2013

A beautiful example of traditional Thai house architecture, this home on the canal was assembled from three rural Ayutthayan houses by Jim Thompson who in the 1960s popularized silk among global textile connoisseurs. He filled it with beautiful Asian antiques and art. The house and its garden are an oasis of tranquility in a busy city. (Daily, 9 a.m.-5 p.m.)
