Adjoining the Grand Palace, the Temple of the Emerald Buddha shelters Thai Buddhism’s most revered image. The cloister walls around the central courtyard are covered in murals relating the classic Ramakhien saga, Thai literature’s hallowed tale, and depicting arresting scenes from 19th century daily life. (Daily, 8:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m.).
